Our beloved Mary Frances Walters went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 24, 2023.
Mary was born to George and Frances Anderson on Friday, April 13, 1941 weighing 13lbs and 13oz in Roxton, Texas. Mary was born into humbled beginnings sharing her childhood memories of living in a two room cabin with no bathroom. Her parents slept outside so that the six children could have the two rooms. Mary's highest calling in life came when she became the mother to four girls - Tammy, Jeannie, Belinda and Jodi. As a single mother she often worked multiple jobs to provide for her daughters. Hard work and determination was at the core of who she was. Mary was the very first one to arrive in their time of need and the last one to leave. Mary went on to own and operate a childcare center for many years in McKinney, Texas. She loved being able to provide for those she cherished most- her children and grandchildren. Mary will forever be remembered for her strong faith in Jesus, fierce love of family and steadfast devotion. Our hearts will never be the same without our sweet mama and precious Nanny but we do not grieve without hope. We know that our sweet Mary is in the presence of her Heavenly Father and her spirit is alive more today than ever.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, George and Frances Anderson; brothers, Howard Anderson, Tab Anderson, Jerry Don Anderson; sister Fay Hawkins; and one great granddaughter Remington Lanham.
