Mary Elsie Thomas

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elsie Woodson Thomas, age 93, of Bonham, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 31, 2015 at the First Christian Church 701 N. Main St. Bonham, TX. Bro. Rick Edwards and Bro. Cody Nelson and Jaden Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Willow Wild Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Mary passed away on July 28, 2015 at the Homestead of Sherman, Texas.
Mary was born on December 20, 1921 in Gober, Texas, the daughter of Oscar William Woodson and Estelle Lee Robinson. She attended Gober High School and married Grady William Thomas in 1945 and he preceded her in death on February 9, 1996. She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Bonham where she served as Church Secretary for many years and was active in a number of aspects of church life. Mary had the sweetest voice and enjoyed her family and cooking. She was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Susan Hicks in October 13, 2010 and brothers, Tom Woodson and Howard Woodson.

Brother: Neil Woodson of Carrollton, TX
Grandchildren: Cory Thomas, Bryan Thomas, Glyn Thomas, Lauren Thomas, Kristina Nelson, Jared Hicks and Eric Hicks and numerous great grandchildren
The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, July 30, 2015
