Mary Evelyn Tanner

Mary Evelyn Tanner, 89, formerly of Bonham, TX died on September 19, 2023 in Fort Worth, TX with her daughter present. Evelyn moved from Bonham in 2017 to be with her daughter Clellie while beginning her battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Evelyn is survived by her four children, R. Dale Tanner (Carl) of Palm Springs, CA; Carol Maynard of RonKonKoma, NY, Ginger Tourville of Quitman, TX, Clellie Tanner of Fort Worth, TX, five grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Jr and granddaughter, Nichole Morales.

A lifetime member of the Churches of Christ most recently a member of the Highland Church of Christ in Fort Worth, TX. Evelyn passed away loving God with all her heart, her soul, and her strength. She had not been able to attend since the beginning of Covid. She faithfully watched the streaming of each service up until the past few months. For 19 years Evelyn drove for TAPS - Sherman. She enjoyed serving others and continued doing so after her retirement as a Pink Lady and with Meals On Wheels.
