Mary Lou Slaughter

Mary Lou Slaughter, age 87, went to be with the Lord early Saturday morning on March 17, 2018 after a long battle with Dementia. She is survived by her sister, Jean Smith of Seattle Washington and son, Dana Slaughter of Leonard, Texas. Mary Lou was a veteran of the U. S. Army where she served as an occupational therapist during her enlistment. Mary Lou and her late husband, Dewey, lived in North Canton for 45 years and were active members of the Faith United Methodist Church and many community activities. Mary Lou relocated to Texas with her son after the passing of her husband Dewey in 2016. Mary Lou was well known for her sharp and witty personality as she always knew how to make you laugh. She will be dearly missed by many.
