Mary Isabel Phillips

Funeral services for Mary Isabel Phillips, 67, of Ector, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 at Northside Church of Christ under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. James East and Caleb Sampson will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, Nov. 4, 2013 in Palm Valley Lutheran Cemetery in Round Rock, Texas. Mary passed away Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 29, 2013 at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham.
Mary was born May 19, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Luther Oswald Farris and Lenita Ezell Farris. She married Donald Blaine Phillips on Oct. 28, 1967, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 1992. Mary received her Master's degree in Education from Indiana University in Kokomo, Indiana. She was a member of Pi Lambda Theta in Indiana, the Ector Friendship Quilt Club and the Master Gardner Club. She taught Sunday School in Kokomo, Indiana and Round Rock, Texas and was a member of Northside Church of Christ in Bonham. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lydia Catherine Hulion.
Mary is survived by her son, Clayton Todd Phillips and wife, Nicole of Georgetown, Texas,
brother, John Farris and wife, Beckie of Bonham, Texas, grandchildren, Colby Lane Phillips, Brady Wyatt Phillips and Addyson Kate Phillips,
extended family and friends.
Grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers.
