Mary Ellen Knight

Mary Ellen Knight was born November 28, 1933, in Plainview, Oklahoma, the daughter of Daniel Kellum Michell and Ethel Altie Stamps. She married Dee Roy Knight on May 18, 1948, in DeQueen Arkansas and had one daughter, Mary Vaerewyck. Mary passed away on September 30, 2024 in Georgetown, TX.

Mary will be remembered fondly for her kindness toward everyone she met. She always made sure her family knew she loved them "a bushel and peck and hug around the neck".

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dee Roy Knight, her daughter, Mary Vaerewyck, and her granddaughter, DeeDee Ploof.
Survivors include -  Sisters: Hazel Gibson of Rufe, OK and Lavern Elliott of Wright City, OK  Brother:  Melvin Mitchell and his wife Wanda of Rufe, OK, 2 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 8 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be Monday, October 7,2024 at 1pm @ Arledge Ridge Cemetery in Bonham.
