Margaret E Newman

Margaret Evelyn Newman passed away at her home in Ivanhoe, TX on January 5, 2024.

Margaret was born on July 20, 1943 to Roscoe and Rosa Carr in Mt. Vernon, TX. Margaret married Troy Newman and had nine children. She will be fondly remembered for her dedication to the family and her home. Grit and determination was at the core of Margaret. The children fondly remember that she always made sure they had food on the table and a roof over their heads. Margaret spent many years as a certified nurses assistant serving the people of Fannin County. In her spare time she enjoyed watching game shows, westerns, and had a love for crocheting. She is well known for her deep love of family and through them her memory will live on.

Margaret is preceded in death by husband, Troy E. Newman, parents, Roscoe and Rosa Carr, son, Roger Newman and daughter, Jill Newman.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Tina), Dean, Kathy (Gayland), Joey, Troy (Kels), Richard, Jack (Rocio)  grandchildren, Cody, Jessica, Cliff (Shannon), Ashley, Brian, Amanda, Chris, Jamie, Juanita, Kenny, Britney, Jonathan, Brandon, Crystol, Nikki, Curtis,  Jacky, Jeffery, Samantha, Courtney, Luis, Kenneth Earl (Chucky), Jacob, Alyssa, Evelyn, and great grandchildren, Bailey, Avery, Caidyn, Triston, Dace, Micah, Kevin, Kamren, Brianna, Kammie, Kenely, Karmen, Noah, Olivia, Alexis, Bubba, Jozlyn, Rosie, Shane, Weston, Paisley, Lane, Madisyn, Jayden, Karter, Acelyn, Avonah, Bridgett and Payton.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 9th from 6pm to 8pm at Wise Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 10th at 11am @ Wise Funeral Home Chapel and burial will follow at Dodd City Cemetery, Dodd City, TX.
