Margaret Ann Daniel

Margaret Ann Daniel, age 88 from Bonham, Tx went to be with her Lord and Savior, January 9, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was born February 1, 1934, in Gober, Texas to James Smith and Nettie Barron Smith. She married Howard Daniel October 3, 1954, in Durant, Oklahoma. Margaret was a member of Wesley First United Methodist Church, where she was active for many years. Other than raising five children, Margaret held several jobs in Bonham, including: Warehouse Foods, Moran's Furniture, Bonham Manufacturing and working for Press Cox.

She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed reading, making candy, and watching her favorite team, the Texas Rangers. As many can attest, she LOVED talking. A quick phone could easily turn into an hour, or until the listener ran out of time! She never gave up her land line phone so she didn't have to worry about the phone going dead while she was talking.

She is survived by her children, Jon Daniel, Mark Daniel (LuAnn), Darin Daniel, and Danna McGaugh (Kevin) all from Bonham, Randy Daniel (Debra) from Kellyville, Ok. Grandchildren, Tabitha Littrell, (Jesse) Bubba Daniel (Teri) Mindi Hall, Josh Hall, Brandi Todd (Phillip), Chris Daniel (Katie), Ralyn Daniel. 17 great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Daniel, Parents James and Nettie Barron Smith, siblings; Billy Smith, Gene Smith, Jerry Smith, Barbara Deel, James Smith, Ronald Smith, Jimmie Daniel, and Daughter in Law, Marcia Daniel.

Graveside Services will be held at Willow Wild Cemetery, Friday, January 13, 2023 at 2:00PM. Wise Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Rick Robbins will preside, assisted by Tammy Lightfoot.  We would also like to thank Hospice Plus for all they did to help us get her home, so she was able to spend her last hours surrounded by loving family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Women Rock, 225 E.
Houston St., Sherman, Texas.
