Mae Belle Mason

Graveside Services for Mae Belle Mason, age 85, of Ivanhoe, Texas will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2022 at Duplex Cemetery in Duplex Community, Fannin County, Texas under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Spann will officiate. Mae passed away early Sunday morning, August 14, 2022, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.

Mae was born on March 24, 1937, the daughter of Ollie Dugan and Jewel Armstrong Dugan. She married the love of her life, Paul Mason. They raised three children together. Mae enjoyed yard work and during her years living in Grapevine she and Paul won Yard of the Month several times. Her flowers were her pride and joy. She enjoyed watching them bloom, caring for them daily, enjoying their beauty. Mae could grow anything! She had a green thumb like no other. Mae worked for General Motors and retired after 16 years of service. In her pastime she enjoyed playing Skip-bo and trying her luck at the Casino, slot machines being her favorite. Mae dearly loved her children and grandchildren. Family was everything to her. Above all, Mae loved the Lord. She was a member of Elwood Baptist Church for many years. She will be greatly missed. Mae is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Linda Hinchcliff; brother, A. C. Dugan; and sisters, Helen Hill and Mildred Dugan.

Mae leaves behind to cherish her memories her sons, Michael Mason and wife Melissa of Ivanhoe, Texas and William Mason of Ivanhoe, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren with one on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Steven Hinchcliff, Michael Mason Jr., Brandon Mason, Zach Mason, Brent Treybig, and Cash Mason.

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
