Mae Maudine Hertzog, known as Dean to her family and friends was born October 19 th , 1931 in Van Alstyne, Texas to loving parents Killis and Irene Hunter. Her sisters, Jimmie, Faye and Dot and her brothers, Wallace, Junior, Harry, and Howard lived many great adventures and were the shining parents and grand parents to generations of those who loved them and will always remember them as integral parts of our lives. Dean had one marriage with Eugene Hertzog and two beautiful children Robert and Peggy Hertzog. Being a military family in the Air Force, Dean and her children traveled the world but one of their most beloved down range was being in Hawaii, where some of their most precious were experienced.

Dean was an exceptionally smart woman who after divorce learned computer programming and worked as system admin for a major hospital. This provided her the opportunity to work in Saudi Arabi in the 1980's, which demonstrates not only her exceptional ability but also her strong character.

Dean touched lives of so many people over the years that we will all remember her stubborn determination, her smile, and her good heart that made others be better off in this world. It with a heavy heart to note her passing on November 22 nd , 2022. She is survived by her loving sister Dot and by her grandchildren, Brooks Cappella of Weston, Connecticut and Alissa Dean of Fort Worth, Texas, and her great-grandchildren Sabrina, Tabitha, and Natasha Cappella and Kaden Dean.
