Lula Faye Kelly

Graveside Services for Lula Faye Kelly, age 93, of Bonham, Texas will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2021 at Gober Cemetery in Gober, Texas under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Lula passed away Saturday evening, April 3, 2021 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.

Lula was born on October 24, 1927 in Albany, Oklahoma, the daughter of David Lee Burns and Frances Elizabeth Routt Burns. She married Joel Kelly in 1974 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. They were married for 14 years before his passing. Lula was of the Baptist faith. She worked for DeRose Industries for a number of years and for Bonham Manufacturing. She later worked for home health. Lula enjoyed cooking and gardening. She liked to play Skip Bo and dominos. Lula also liked to go to garage sales. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Linda Sue Sabin Goode, brother, Jimmy Burns; and sister, Kolline Whitley, Kay Hughes, Joyce Amlin, Loucil Morris, and Mary Blain.

Lula is survived by brother, Wayne Burns and wife Pat of Bailey, Texas; sisters, Stella Stewart and husband Raymond of Bonham, Texas and Jeanett Pickerill and husband David of Wills Point, Texas; grandchildren, Jeffery Dean Goode and wife Cindy and Jennifer Renee Goode; great grandchildren, Carol Sue Goode, Billy Goode, and Sharon Louis Goode; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. till service time.
