Funeral Services for Lucille Cob, age 99, of Ector will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 at Wise Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dodd City Cemetery. Lucille passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016.
Lucille was born January 12, 1917, the daughter J. L. McElwee and Minnie Lou Huckabee McElwee. She lived most of her life in Fannin County. Lucille worked several years as a nurse; the last 5 years with Dr. Joe Risser helping terminally ill patients, Mrs. Bartley, sister to Mr. Sam Rayburn, Judge Leslie, and Mrs. Homer Hildinger. She was an insurance agent and retired as a beauty operator. Lucille loved her home life with her family. She loved everyone and was the best mother in the world. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bill McElwee, sisters, Irene Curtis and Opal McElwee.

Lucille is survived by her sons, Raymond Long of Savoy and Ted Lynn and wife Judy of Dallas; daughters, Jeanette Jensen of Sherman, Linda Brinkley of Sherman, Charlene Campbell and husband David of Sherman, Jimmie Lou Campbell of Sherman, and Barbara Burton of Houston; 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Teel, Ted Lynn, Kenneth Long, Charles Bush, Jay Burton, and Tony Benedict.

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
