Lois Marie Clark Kennedy, born on June 10, 1936, peacefully passed away on December 19, 2025. A cherished member of her community, Lois was well-known as the Owner and Operator of Smith Moore & Williams in Bonham, Texas, where she dedicated herself to providing beautiful plants and gardening baskets, earning the affection of her customers and friends.
Being a dedicated and spirited individual, Lois exemplified strength and independence throughout her life. Her commitment extended beyond her business; she was also a long-standing member of the Dodd City Baptist Church, where she fostered meaningful relationships and shared her faith with others.
In her personal life, Lois was surrounded by a loving family. She leaves behind her brothers, Harold (Beverly) Clark and Freddie Clark, along with her sisters Betty Lackey, Brenda Holloway, and Virginia (Jimmy) Peebles, and her daughter in law Suzanne Kennedy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She also held a special friendship with Ruth Blevins, which enriched her life in ways that will be cherished by those who knew her.
Lois is reunited in heaven with her beloved mother and father Rachel and Fred Clark; her husband, Earl Kennedy; son, Jeff Kennedy; daughter, Virginia Workman; sister, Dorothy Barber; and brothers R.L. Clark and Carrol Clark. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved her. The family would also like to express Thanks and gratitude to the Wesley House.
Pallbearers will be, Tracy Lackey, Dean Lackey, Kendall Clark, Loren Clark, Bud Clark, and Freddie Clark. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Johnson, Jimmy Caplinger, Alan Dowd, and the deacons of the Dodd city Baptist Church.
Services are under the Direction of Wise Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be held on December 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Dodd City Baptist Church with services to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Dodd City Cemetery.
