Lois G. Arledge

Funeral services for Mrs. Lois G. Arledge, age 97, of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the First Christian Church 701 N. Main Bonham, Texas. Rev. Gary Gibbs will officiate. Burial will follow at the Willow Wild Cemetery. Mrs. Arledge passed away on February 4, 2017 at the Heritage Healthcare in Quitman, Texas.

Mrs. Arledge was born on August 31, 1919 in Dodd City, Texas, the daughter of Robert Earl Gray and Mary Elma Love Gray. She attended school in Dodd City and Bonham and later married Robert Arledge on September 20, 1940 in Dodd City and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1980. She was a member and elder of the First Christian Church in Bonham and worked at the Bonham Cotton Mill for 8 years, worked in School Tax Office for several years. She worked at First Christian Church for over 18 years and then went to M&S Clinic for 12 years, then Fannin Professional Clinic until 1986 when she went to work for Edward D. Jones, then went to the church. She was an avid reader, cook and loved doing for others. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her sister, Christine Garner and brothers, Tom Gray and Haddon Gray

She is survived by:
Son and daughter-in-law: Robert Gray and Sarah Arledge of Yantis, TX
Grandchildren: Amanda White and her husband Marlon of Forney
Katie Parker and husband Matt of Houston
Great Grandchildren: Mason, Clayton, and Emily
Nephew: John and Nancy Gray
Cousin: Charles and Barbara Arledge
Extended family and a host of Friends

Pallbearers will be elders of the First Christian Church and Honorary Pallbearers will be Grandchildren

The family will receive friends at the First Christian Church from 1:00 PM until service time of Wednesday, February 8, 2017.
