Bonham

Arrangements for Linda Kay Apple, age 70, of Bonham, Texas are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Linda passed away on February 18, 2024, lovingly surrounded by her family at her home in Bonham.

The life of Linda Apple was one of resilience, devotion and boundless love. Born in 1953 to Anna Watkins, Linda didn't have the easiest upbringing in Dodge City, Kansas. With the support of her mother and siblings, she filled her days with laughter and made the most of every situation. When Linda married Randy Lee Apple in 1979, it was clear they were destined for each other. Their wedding in the rustic Colorado mountains marked the beginning of 43 beautiful years together as soulmates. Linda dedicated herself to building a warm, loving home and raising her children with care. She had a passion for classic rock, country line dancing with Randy, sewing, cooking and especially reading - she was always eager to learn new things. Her creativity led her to painting, teaching herself to knit and sewing clothes for her loved ones. Her kindness and lively sense of humor made everyone feel like part of the family. Even in hard times, Linda knew how to lift the spirits of a room with laughter.  Linda's giving nature was unmatched. She loved her family with all her heart and soul, often sacrificing her own needs to provide for them. Her heart was open to all, with an uncanny ability to welcome, trust and forgive others. Linda was a guiding light, a soft place to land and a rock to lean on. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished for the joy and love she brought to those lucky enough to know her. Though gone from this world, her beautiful spirit lives on.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Randy Apple, and brother, Roy Watkins.

She is survived by daughters, Brandy Amos and husband Jeffrey, Misty Everett and husband Douglas, son, Shane Apple, loving daughter-in-law-, Christina Engel, sister, Connie Wallace, brother, David Watkins, 6 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
