Lillian Odell Northcutt

Funeral services for Lillian Odell Northcutt, 98, of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gary Pettigrew will officiate. Burial will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery, Bonham, TX. Odell left her life here on earth to be with her Heavenly Father, on Sunday morning, Oct. 7, 2012 at the Homestead of Denison.
Odell was born Dec. 6, 1913 in Ladonia, Texas, the daughter of William Pinkney Northcutt and Nancy Ann Moore Northcutt. She was a graduate of Bonham High School and attended Bethany Penial College in Oklahoma. Odell was ordained as a minister of the Nazarene faith. She was a Christian lady who dedicated her life to GOD and family. During her ministry, she also taught Sunday school classes and served as church treasurer for 33 years. She attended church faithfully until her health declined. Odell's church work was a testimony to many including the staff at the Homestead Nursing Facility. She was a very devoted daughter, sister and loving Auntie to her nieces and nephews. Odell was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Willie Northcutt, Johnnie Northcutt, Claude Northcutt and Henry "Pete" Northcutt, and three sisters, Edna Lockaby, Lillie Northcutt and Lois Northcutt.
Odell is survived by a brother, Emmett Northcutt of Houston, TX; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and extended family who lovingly referred to her as a 'member of the family'; as well as her church family who were dear to her heart.
Pallbearers will be Mark Northcutt, Roger Northcutt, Wayne Northcutt, Randall Hughes, Mike Barber and Joy Ray Lockaby.
The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until service time Wednesday.
