Lieutenant Carson Henry Creecy (Retired U.S. Navy)

Memorial services with Naval Honors for Lieutenant Carson Henry Creecy, Jr. (Retired U.S. Navy) age 84, long time resident of Miami, NM and lately of Bonham,Texas will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 5th, 2015 at the First Baptist Church (Chapel) in Bonham. Rev. Chase Hinson will officiate. Lt. Creecy (Ret.) passed away on April 29, 2015 at the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center.

He was born on December 23, 1930 in Raton, New Mexico, the son of Carson Henry Creecy Sr. and Ollie Stewart Creecy. He married Dorothy Lee Roberts on July 8, 1949 and she preceded him in death on May 7, 2010. He earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico in Geology. He was a retired Lieutenant serving in the United States Navy from 1948-1972. He was a Mason, and a Boy Scout leader and trainer. He enjoyed ranching in northern New Mexico and loved the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by a son, Carson Henry Creecy, III

Sons: Alfred Dale Creecy and his wife Shalada Hopper Creecy of Albuquerque NM
Oliver Phillip Creecy and wife Teri Lee Merrill Creecy of Elizabeth, West Virginia
Daughter: Rachel Alice Creecy of Bonham
Daughter-in-law: Gail Connely Creecy of Wisconsin

Grandchildren: Jeremy Paul Creecy, Brendan John Creecy, Jessica Eve Cain, Carson Andrew Creecy, Claire Hopper, Gregory Hopper and Owan Hopper,
Great Grandchildren: Cameron Guy Nelson, Samantha Jo Cain, Christian Paul Cain, Liam Cain
Extended family and a host of friends.
