Leonard Earl Davis

Funeral Services for Leonard Earl Davis , age 72, of Ector, Texas will be held at Wise Funeral Home Chapel on May 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Ravenna Cemetery in Ravenna, Texas Pastor Bob Upchurch will officiate. Leonard passed away Thursday afternoon, May 13, 2021 lovingly surrounded by family at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.

Leonard was born January 12, 1949 in Gastonia, North Carolina, the son of Norman James Davis and Iva Jo Wright Davis. He married Cathy Lynn Holman on April 1, 1987 in Bonham, Texas. They were married 34 years prior to his passing. Leonard proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. He was an avid outdoorsman; fishing and camping being his favorites. Leonard was a very family-oriented man, he cherished Sunday dinners with his family. He was hardworking and would give the shirt off his back to help a stranger. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly but most of all his loving wife Cathy. Leonard is preceded in death by his parents, son, Jason Fortner; brothers, Bobby Davis and Floyd Lee Skrimager; grandchildren, Christian Browning and Terry Lynn Holman

Leonard is survived by wife, Cathy Davis of Ector, Texas; sons, David Earl Davis of Minnesota, John David Holman and wife Susanna of Ector, Texas, and Charles Tracy Davis and wife Amanda of Ector, Texas; daughters, Latosha Flowers and husband Max of Ravenna, Texas, Stephanie Hibbetts and husband Larry of San Antonio, Texas, Stacie Davis of Colbert, Oklahoma, Lisa Preston and husband Kyle of Ector, Texas, Jessica Eaches and husband Donald of Bonham, Texas, Jennifer Sampson and husband Walter, and Brandie Webb of Louisiana; brother, Norman Davis of Whitewright, Texas; sisters, Marilyn LaVergne of Bonham, Texas, Hazel Davis of Oklahoma, Jennifer Campbell of Tulsa, Oklahoma and 38 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home on May 20, 2021 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
