Lawrence Scott Escobido

Funeral Services for Lawrence Scot Escobido, age 58, of Bonham, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Bonham under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Father Fred Caldwell will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery. Lawrence passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016.
Lawrence was born August 27, 1957, the son Evaristo Benjamin Escobido and Lenora Manzano Escobido. Lawrence was a 1975 graduate of Waipahu High School. He joined the U.S Air Force in August of 1975. He received his Culinary Degree from Kapiolani Community College. He married Gabriela Jaramillo Martinez on August 4, 2012 at the Fannin Bible Baptist Church in Bonham, Texas. Lawrence and Gabriela were soulmates; she was his one true love. Gabriela loved him deeply. Lawrence loved her with the same depth of love; she was and always will be his sweetie. Lawrence enjoyed being around people and was loved by many, including his family and Gabriela's family. Lawrence knew nothing but love. His passions were fishing and cooking for others. He also enjoyed watching his friends and family eat the food that he had prepared for them, it brought happiness to his heart. He loved the Church and had fond memories of serving as an altar boy in his youth. Above all, Lawrence loved spending time with his wife, Gabriela. Lawrence is preceded in death by his father, Evaristo Benjamin Escobido.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Gabriela Escobido of Bonham, Texas; Mother, Lenora Escobido; Son, Keoni Escobido; a Daughter; Brother, Lenny Escobido; Step Daughter- Asha McKinney; Sisters, LaVerne Nunes, Lori Payo, and Lei Ann Escobido; 5 Grandchildren; 41 Nieces and Nephews; extended family and friends.

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016.
