Laura Jean Van Pelt

Laura Van Pelt, 61, beloved sister and mother, was called to her eternal resting place on June 4, 2020. She entered this world on January 16, 1959, in San Antonio, TX, born to Derral and Nancy Van Pelt. She is survived by her sister Debra Gordon; brother Derral Van Pelt, Jr; brother David Van Pelt; son Brian Van Pelt; daughter Jennifur Davis; nephew Daniel Van Pelt and four grandchildren and one great nephew.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Laura was intelligent, hard-working, and funny and pushed to do things her way.  She loved her kids and family with a passion of independence.  She enjoyed reading, TV, music and at one point wanted to become a novelist.  Her favorite animal was the owl and favorite flowers were carnations.  She was of the Presbyterian faith and loved the movie "Wizard of Oz".  Laura had a deep concern for her family and how much they meant to her and would want her legacy to be remembered as a caring person and would thank everyone for the love and support that they gave her throughout her life.
