Funeral services for Kloes L. Brawner, of Ivanhoe, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ricky Robbins will officiate. Burial will follow in Elwood Cemetery. Kloes passed away Monday night, Dec. 31, 2012 at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham.
Kloes was born April 8, 1933 in Caney, Oklahoma, the son of Samuel George Brawner and Myrtle Dale Simpson Brawner. He was a graduate of Ivanhoe Schools and attended Phillips Jr. College and received his master's degree in Agriculture/Science Education from East Texas State University in Commerce. Kloes married Jessie Baker on June 2, 1957 and was a US army veteran. He taught math, science, and Ag, drove a bus and was a former principal of Sam Rayburn High School. Kloes was a farmer and was an insurance representative for Horace Mann Life Ins. and Jackson National Life Ins. He was a mason and a member of the Ivanhoe Lions Club. Kloes was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Lesley Brawner, Harold Brawner, and Elton Brawner.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie Brawner of Ivanhoe, TX, 3 sons,Barry Brawner of Bonham, TX,
Darrin Brawner and wife, Jamie of Denison, TX, Lesley Brawner of Ivanhoe, TX, 2 daughters, Karen Mosley and husband, Audie of Ivanhoe, TX, and Tina Thomas and husband, Sam of Bixby, OK, brother, A. D. Brawner and wife, Fern of Telephone, TX, 2 sisters, Jewell Hayes of Paris, TX, and
Earlene Carroll and husband, Jerry of Ovilla, TX, grandchildren, Chelsie Montgomery, Jacob Brawner, Robert Brawner, D. J. Brawner, Coby Brawner, Haley Brawner, Kory Mosley, Dillon Mosley, Jessica Thomas, Shelby Thomas, Zachary Thomas, and Will Thomas,
great grandchildren, Jayden Mosley and Kash Mosley, numerous extended family and friends.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the Elwood Cemetery Association.
