Graveside services for Kenneth Paul "Pops" Kerr, 72, of Telephone, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 at Lamasco Cemetery. Craig Kerr will officiate. Kenneth passed away Monday afternoon, Nov. 4, 2013 in Sherman surrounded by family and loved ones.
Kenneth was born April 23, 1941 in Dallas, Texas the son of Benjamin Robert Kerr and Della Mae Perry. He married Lupie March 6, 1988. He was a retired railroad conductor for Union Pacific Railroad. Pops was a true cowboy that enjoyed horses and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Perry Kerr and sister, Jo Hampton.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Reynolds, Mickey Weatherall, Kenneth Weatherall and Quinn Titsworth.
Kenneth is survived by his
wife, Lupie Kerr of Telephone, Texas; sons, Craig Kerr and wife, Laura of Cumby, Texas, Benjamin Kerr of Breckenridge,Texas, Clayton Kerr and wife, Joey of Leonard, Texas, Grady Deal of Lamasco, Texas, and Rodney Deal and wife, Jamie of Decatur, Texas; daughters: Roberta Thurman and husband, Bobby of Breckenridge, Texas, Choya Babb and husband, Jackie of Sherman, Texas, and Wendy Herd-Battani and husband, Larry of Providence Village, Texas; 25 grandchildren; Tommy, Fallon, Brandi, Johnny, Joe, Rachel, Charlie, Otis, Stephanie, Abby, Cassie, Zack, Hannah, Noah, A.J., Cheyenne, Savannah, Bentlee, Jordan, Shanna, Tya, Kandi, MaKena, Mason, and Danielle; 7 great grandchildren, Ethan, Dwayne, Aurora, Gavin, Seth, Grace and Rory and 1 great-great grandson, Brendon Lee; numerous nieces,
nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the graveside 1:00 one hour prior to service and at the family home following the service.
