Kathleen Bishop Gatlin

Graveside services for Kathleen Gatlin, 83, of Bonham, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in Willow Wild Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Howard Horton, pastor of Bells Church of Christ will officiate. Kathleen passed away Sunday night, Mar. 25, 2012 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.

Kathleen was born October 30, 1928 in Lubbock, Texas, the daughter of Avan Almon Bishop and Eva Estelle Kelton Bishop. She was a graduate of Bonham High School. Kathleen married James Rudolph Clayton who preceded her in death in 1968, and later married Kenneth Gatlin. She spent many hours serving as den mother for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Kathleen enjoyed collecting dolls, cobalt blue and cut glass, and costume jewelry. She ironed for the public for many years. Kathleen loved attending garage sales and estate sales and held numerous sales for several families. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Johnny Bishop.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Kenneth Gatlin of Bonham, TX, son, Ronald Clayton and wife, Debbie of Bonham, TX,
brother, Deryl Bishop and wife, Linda of Bonham, TX, 2 granddaughters, Lana Newton and husband, Stephen of Celina, TX, and Roni Hartline and husband, Jake of Bells, TX,
4 great grandchildren, Eli Newton, Jalen Hartline, Makena Hartline and Easton Hartline
3 nieces and 2 stepsons and families.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Kathleen Gatlin Memorial Fund at Fannin Bank of Bonham for the local chapter of the Boy Scouts.
