Joyce Elaine Ratliff

Joyce E. Ratliff, 66, of Dodd City, TX, who was formerly from Westphalia/Garnett, KS, lost her battle with cancer on January 24, 2012. Joyce was born on September 27, 1945, and graduated from Garnett High School in 1963.
Joyce moved to Texas in 1978 with her job at Farmers Insurance and later went on to work with Orthofix, where she retired in 2009.
She enjoyed softball, wood working, gardening, camping, friends and the great outdoors. Joyce was an active member of the Honey Grove Cowboy Church in Honey Grove, TX.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Zenn and Billie Ratliff of Garnett, KS; brother Zenn Dale Ratliff of Chanute, KS; brother-in-law, Kenny Thompson of McLouth, KS; and sister-in-law, Lou Ratliff of Westphalia, KS.
Survivors include: Max and Margaret Ratliff, Bill and Barbara Ratliff, all of Garnett, KS; Gail (Tub) Ratliff of Westphalia, KS; and Jeanie (Ratliff) Thompson of McLouth, KS.
Joyce will be missed by many nephews and nieces, as well as a host of family and friends.
A celebration of Joyce's life will be held at a later date in Honey Grove, TX.
Joyce requested that contributions in her memory be made to the Honey Grove Cowboy Church at 3050 HWY 100 N, P. O. Box 221, Honey Grove, TX 75446.
