Johnny Mark Terry

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the First Christian Church in Bonham, Texas.

John Mark "Johnny" Terry was born on October 13, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas. He went to his Heavenly Home on January 7, 2021 after a long battle of poor health that confined his body to a wheelchair, but not his heart or his love for everyone that he met. Johnny loved Jesus and depended on Him.  When you asked him how he was, his answer was always,  "I'm blessed." His family was very important to him, as was his Church family. His wheelchair with a "Jesus Loves you" sign on the back was seen in town and going to church on Sunday.

Johnny loved people of all backgrounds and made a difference in their lives by putting his faith into action. He worked as a paramedic bringing life into the world and providing care and comfort to the dying.

He was a compassionate man, a true inspiration of courage. Even through his battle with kidney failure and many other health issues, his faith and trust in Jesus remained steadfast.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ella Mai Brannon and Jesse Brannon; mother,  Mary Ella Kirby, father, William Carl Terry, his loving wife of 38 years, Annie Wesberry and brother-in-law, Donald Walley.

Johnny left behind to cherish his memories, brothers, Bill Terry and wife Carol of Bonham, (his brother Tim Terry, recently passed away in February 2021) sister-in-law, Sharon of Savoy; sisters, Pat Walley of Bonham, Melanie Woodruff and husband, Stan of Trenton and Kayla Kirby of LA California. Johnny also had 16 nieces and nephews that he claimed as his own and special friends, Gary Sparks, Porter Wallace and Darren Barnett and their families and Terry Brookshire.  He was loved by many and will be greatly missed, but we all know he is now in his Heavenly Home, his health fully restored.
