Visitation for Johnnie Naylor, 90, of Telephone, TX will be held at Wise Funeral Home from 11:00 to 12:30 Wednesday, January 25th, 2023. Immediately following visitation, a graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM at the Randolph Cemetery in Randolph, TX under the direction of Wise Funeral Home and officiated by Brother Jase Waller.
Johnnie passed away at her residence, Friday morning, January 20, 2023 surrounded by her family. Johnnie was born March 15, 1932 in Randolph, Tx, the daughter of Higgin Botham "Doc" Long and Pearl Jourden Long. She attended Randolph school. Johnnie married John Lawrence Naylor on September 23, 1951 in Rockwall, Tx. She was a member of Duplex Baptist Church. She was a military wife for over 21 years and lived in many different states as well as abroad. She was a loving mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She loved children and some of her most treasured times were taking care of them. She loved cooking, writing and collecting recipes, gardening, canning, quilting, and antique shopping. In recent years her greatest joy was spending time with her family and watching cooking shows on tv.
Johnnie is survived by her daughter Pam Gibbs and husband Lynn of Telephone, Tx, sons Ronny Naylor and wife Deb of Telephone, Tx and Mike Naylor and wife Joevelyn of Leonard, Tx. Eight grandchildren, John L. "Butch" Naylor III of Oklahoma, Jaime Naylor of Telephone, Texas, Amber Fite and Husband Joe of Bonham, Texas, Travis Naylor and wife Dee of Elwood, Texas, Toby Naylor of Elwood, Texas, Ashley Segal and husband Jason of Spring, Texas, Tasha Burkard and husband Danny of Ivanhoe, TX Ross Naylor, wife Kasey of Telephone, Texas, Stephanie Stevens of Duplex, Texas, and Cody Reed of Duplex, Texas. Twenty Five great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, O.C.B Long, Carol Long, R.J Long, Albert Ray Long, Clovis Long, and three sisters, Bonnie B. Long, Velma Neal, and Gladys Keene, sons John L. "Butch" Naylor, Jr, Leonard Ray Naylor, grandson Christopher Lee Naylor, great grandson Caleb Hunter Stevens. She is also preceded in death by John L. Naylor Sr. They were married for 45 years and remained friends until his death in January of 2012.

Butch Naylor, Travis Naylor, Ross Naylor, Hunter Vaught, Kason Carson, and Colton Burkard
Honorary pallbearers will be Jaime Naylor, Ashley Segal, Tasha Burkard, Stormey Naylor, Lexi Burkard and Addy Burkard.
