John Owen Ryman

John Owen Ryman Jr. passed away unexpectedly on August 17, 2023 in Bonham, TX.

John was born on October 18, 1955 to John and Ruth Ryman in Laurel Run, PA. John was a man dedicated to this country. He served in the United States Army for 17 years. During that time he and his family traveled the world. After his time in the service he continued to give by serving on the Federal Emergency Preparedness Team, volunteering as a firefighter for Dodd City and worked for the VA for 20 years. John enjoyed helping people. In his spare time he loved to build things, he enjoyed hunting and fishing as well. John will be fondly remembered for his love of life, family, and country. He was a big teddy bear that will be forever missed.

John is preceded in death by his parents, John Ryman Sr., Ruth Louise Ryman, daughter Michelle Ryman, and grandson, Timothy Ryman.

He is survived by, wife, Janice Ryman, daughter, Amy Ryman (Mike Valles), sons, John Ryman III (Verinda Rushing), Brad Ryman (Jessica), stepsons, Michael Jennings, Steven Jennings, grandchildren, Russell Ryman, Ronald Jasterzenski, Nicholas Jasterzenski, Hunter Mize, Cilia Ryman, John Ryman, Conner Ryman, Georgie Ryman, Destini Ryman, 10 great-grandchildren, and brothers, Dale Ryman (Suzanne), Glen Ryman, and niece Arianna Leah.
