John Wayne Fairchild, 77, of Bonham, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Seven Oaks Nursing & Rehab in Bonham. A cremation was held and a family memorial service will be held at Arledge Ridge Cemetery at a future date. Arrangements are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home.
John was born October 5, 1934 in Bonham, Texas, the son of Homer Lawrence Fairchild and Odessa Nettie Stanton Fairchild. He attended Duncan and Bonham schools. He worked for his brother as a painter. John enjoyed attending church services held at the nursing home and eating hotdogs at Trades Day. He loved camping, fishing and spending time with his little dog, Missy. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Howard Large and Willie Large, a sister, Ruth Parker and grandchild, Willie Roberts.

2 sons, Eugene Fairchild of Conroe, TX and Carl Wayne Fairchild of Bonham, TX, 1 daughter, Cynthia McLennan and husband, Bill of Yellville, AR,
1 brother, Homer Fairchild and wife, Fay of Bonham, TX
1 sister, Dorothy Hindsley and husband, Perry of Bonham, TX
1 granddaughter, Christal Roberts
