Graveside services celebrating the life of Joe Ann McCullough, 85, of Georgetown, Texas will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 15, 2013 in Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, Texas under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Dr. Gene Owen will officiate. Joe Ann passed away Saturday night, March 9, 2013 in Round Rock.
Joe Ann was born July 25, 1927 in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Hubert Joe Bragg and Annie Mae Braselton Bragg. She was a graduate of Bonham High School and North Texas University. Joe Ann was a teacher in Texas public schools for 27 years, the last 20 at Layne Elementary in Denison, Texas. She was a member of Parkside Baptist Church in Denison. Joe Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond McCullough, a sister, Jane Tracy, and former husband, Bobby MaGouirk.
Joe Ann is survived by 2 sons, Michael O'Neal MaGouirk and wife, Valerie and Patrick Daniel MaGouirk; 4 grandchildren, Patrick Ryan MaGouirk, Kelly Ann MaGouirk, Tracy Leigh MaGouirk and Dylan Stuart MaGouirk; 3 great grandchildren; a niece, Melinda Bleese and husband, Joseph; and a great niece, Lisa Avelar and her 3 children, Abigail, Lori and Jacob.
Memorials in honor of Joe Ann McCullough may be made to the Denison ISD Educational Foundation, 1201 S. Rusk Avenue, Denison, TX 75020.
