Jodene Tackett

Jodene Tackett passed away on May 6, 2023, one day after her husband Luther Mac Tackett was ushered into Heaven.

Jodene was born on July 6, 1939 to parents Albert and Bertha Jamison in Corsicana, Texas. Jodene graduated from Corsicana High School and went on to have a thriving career in the insurance industry. She married Mac Tackett on July 8, 1956 and together they had two children, Donna and Marty. Jodene had a great love for flowers which led her to be a florist for many years. When she was not floral designing you would find her antiquing and searching for that special treasure. Jodene was a proud member of the Texas Silver Haired Legislature. She took great pride in serving her fellow Americans in this manner.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Mac Tackett, son, Timothy "Marty" Tackett, and parents, Albert and Berta Jamison.

Jodene is survived by daughter, Donna Hutson and husband Charles; grandchildren, Brian Hutson, Joel Hutson and wife Christen, Wesley Hutson and wife Nicole, Casey Hutson and wife Cara, Melina Goltsios; great grandchildren, Kylie Hutson, Christian Hutson, Luke Hutson, Caden Hutson, Chloe Hutson, Charlotte Hutson, Timothy Hutson, Lily Hutson, Abel Hutson; and many nieces and nephews.

Please join the family on Thursday, May 11th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm for visitation at Wise Funeral Home, Bonham, Texas. A graveside service will take place at Myrtle Cemetery, Ennis, Texas  the following day on Friday, May 12th at 1:00pm.
