Jimmy Noel James, 77, passed away on April 24, 2023, in Sherman, Texas due to cardiac arrest.

Jimmy Noel James was born on June 28, 1945, in Paris, Texas, to Emmit James and Ruby Parmley. Jimmy was a proud veteran having served his country in the United States Army in the 11th Armor Calvary-Black Horse division from 1967 to 1971. Dedication and service to his country were at the core of who he was. After serving in the military Jimmy went on to work in various fields. He repaired televisions and worked at a convenience store right up until he retired. In his free time Jimmy enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He was a skilled bowler in his youth, and later developed a passion for fishing. His fishing buddies were his long time friend Rocky and brother Glenn. He also enjoyed playing pool at the local VFW with good friend Lisa.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Emmit and Ruby James, wife, Brenda James, and siblings,  Donald James, Carol James, and Jackie Singleton.

Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Michelle Juarez and husband Antonio, with their four sons Tony, Chris, Jon, and Isaiah, Donna James and husband, Wendy Damesworth and fiancé, plus her three children, siblings, Glenn James, Deborah Carlock, Bobby Parmley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A service will be held in his honor at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on May 4, 2023, at 9 am.
