Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Dale Herpeche, age 57, of Dodd City, Texas, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at the Dodd City High School Gymnasium, 602 N. Main St. Dodd City, Texas 75438. Bro. Zach Williams and Bro. Dave Cash will officiate. Masonic graveside rites will follow in the Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham. Jimmy passed away at the Carrus Specialty Hospital on July 16, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Jimmy was born on September 17, 1963, at the Risser Hospital in Bonham to Charles Herpeche, Sr and Nannie Long Herpeche. He was a 1982 graduate of Bonham High School and attended Texas A&M in College Station. He married Becky Butler Herpeche on March 11, 1989. He worked several years for TXDOT before beginning his career with Bonham Chrysler. He started as a salesperson and became one of the top salesmen in the nation, receiving many awards. Jimmy eventually became the General Sales Manager of Bonham Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep and Texoma Hyundai and a minority partner in the Greenville Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep. During his time as GSM at Bonham Chrysler, they became one of the top 5 Dodge dealers in Texas, selling over 500 vehicles a month. A spinal injury in 2011 forced his complete retirement from the car business in 2013. Jimmy was a busy Christian man and enjoyed people and helping others.
He was on the Dodd City School Board for over 20 years, as president for 10 years, and was a founder of the Dodd City Education Foundation. Jimmy was a member of the Bonham Volunteer Fire Dept for 8 years, a Master Mason in the Ector Masonic Lodge since 1993, and helped with the Fannin County Adopt-A-Cop Program. He loved football, the Aggies, the Dallas Cowboys, car racing of any kind, fishing, horses and dogs, but most of all he loved his family. He took great pride in watching his children excel at sports and life. His favorite daily activity was FaceTiming his grandbabies.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Herpeche Sr., in-laws, Bobby and Marie Butler, and two brothers-in-law.
He is survived by he wife Becky Herpeche of Dodd City, mother, Nannie Belle Herpeche of Bonham, son Blake Herpeche (Bekka) of Wiley, Texas, daughters, Kamey Sprouse (Jordan) of Greenville, Texas, Lexi Adkins (Cameron) of McKinney, Texas, brother, Charles Robert Herpeche Jr. (Beckey) of Bonham, sisters, Freddie Lou Hilliard (Richard) of Bonham, Tammie Williams (David) of Ivanhoe, Charlsie Vaught (John) of Bonham, grandchildren, Millie Sprouse, K.C. Sprouse, Neyland Sprouse, and Holland Herpeche, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, extended family, and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Scott Berni, Steve Collida, Jason Wood, Matt Titsworth, Mike Kinkade, and David Goggans.
Memorials may be made to the Dodd City Education Foundation via the Dodd City ISD Office.
The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 PM
