Memorial services for Jimmy Dale Faulkner, 49, of Commerce, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Living Word Church of God, 669 E. US Hwy 82, Bonham, Texas. Pastor Eddie Prince will officiate. Jimmy passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Jimmy was born February 27, 1969 in McKinney, Texas, the son of John Donald Faulkner and Tressie Evelyn Murphy Faulkner. He grew up in Trenton, Texas and attended Trenton schools. He was an ASE Master Certified Auto Mechanic for over 22 years. Jimmy enjoyed riding his motorcycles, playing guitars, listening to his generation country music, and collecting knives. He was extremely talented and his creative spirit was evident in his air brushing, sketching, hand painting, and the making of tiny wood houses out of different household materials. A member of the NRA, he liked gunsmithing and making his own guns. Jimmy held a 1st degree blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do and ranked in numerous martial arts where he fought competitively in tournaments. He was preceded in death by his father.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Joella Hoffman of Commerce, TX; mother, Tressie Evelyn Faulkner of Trenton, TX; brother, Shon Faulkner and wife, Lea, of the Duplex Community of Fannin County, TX; sister, Lisa Re'Lynn Faulkner Sherrill; sons, James Damian Decker and Jarrod Weston Brooks; nephews, Colby and Aaron Faulkner; friends, John Wayne Morris and Jay Copeland; extended family and friends.
