Jean A. Christian

Jean Christian, born in Bonham, Texas on July 3, 1921, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 at her residence in Dallas, Texas, at age 95. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert E. and Daisy S. Christian and two sisters, Martha Virginia Westerman and Ina Mae Christian. Jean was the last of her generation on both sides of her family.

Jean was an honors graduate of Bonham High School and attended Austin College and East Texas State College, now known as Texas A & M, Commerce. After graduation, she moved to Dallas and began working in the Engineering Dept. of the Lone Star Gas Company. She retired in 1985 as a Graphic Arts Specialist after a 40-year career.

In retirement, she traveled and continued her artistic expression in watercolor. She loved football and always supported "her" Cowboys. Jean was quite fond of the life-long friends she made while in Bonham, some from the age of 8, her "special" cousins and her extended family.

A private graveside service will be held in Bonham at Willow Wild Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
