Graveside Services for Janyce Lee Crews Johnson., age 85, of Bonham will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 29th at Duplex Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home.

Janyce passed away Tuesday, January 23,2024 at TMC Bonham Hospital. Janyce was born March 23, 1938, the daughter of William Walsi Crews and Jenny Nadine Reed . Janyce was a 1955 graduate of Jackson Central High School in Jackson, Mississippi. She received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 1959 at Millsaps College. She was a member of Phi Mu sorority. Janyce married William "Bill" Johnson on August 25, 1957 in Jackson, Mississippi. She was a Christian growing up at First Baptist Church, Jackson, Mississippi. Janyce taught school for many years and retired in Bartlesville, OK.

Janyce is preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, son, William Isom Johnson, Jr., and sister Ellen Esses.

She is survived by sons, Dr. Jeff Johnson and wife Molly of Lamasco, Al Johnson and wife Rosalyn of Dayton, and Lee Johnson and wife Heather of Fishers, Indiana, brother-in-law, Col. David Esses (Ret.) Nicevill, Florida, Grandchildren: Lori Washburn, Sara Johnson, Rev Al Johnson Jr., Julie Johnson, Courtney Leftwich, Rebekah Johnson, Randy Johnson, Cassidy Johnson, Kaleb Johnson, Greyson Johnson, Emerson Johnson, Tate Johnson, and Conley Johnson, their spouses and 9 Great Grandchildren, and nephew, Col. Greg Esses (Ret.).
