James "Jim" William Buchanan

Memorial services are pending for James William "Jim" Buchanan, Sr., 78, of Bonham, TX.  Jim passed away Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 2, 2020 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman, TX.

Jim was born Nov. 4, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of James Henry Buchanan and Jane High Crockett Buchanan. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War.  He was an aircraft mechanic and worked on the F106's during his service.  James was a computer and electronics master employed with EMC.  He married Phyllis Jean Hurley on April 9, 1995 and she preceded him in death July 10, 2011.  He was a grill master and loved his dogs, horses and animals.  He was a huge Green Bay Packer fan.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, James W. Buchanan, Jr and wife, Jenine of Gurnee, IL, daughters, Laura Hedge and husband, Donald of Redlands, CA, Erin Willmann and husband, Eric of Bolingbrook, IL, Annette Stelter and husband, Tim "Big Toe", and Rhonda Sweeney, 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
