James Henry Rose

James Henry Rose, 69, of Argyle, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham, Texas. An interment will be held with family at a later date at the Marquette Cemetery, in Marquette, Kansas.

James was born on March 16, 1950 in Purcell, Oklahoma, the son of Henry Rose and Juanita Parker Rose. At the young age of eighteen, James joined the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam War Era for over two and a half years. He married Barbara Ann Swisher on November 9, 1974 in McPherson, Kansas. Together they raised two sons, Jason and Cameron. James began working for MAPCO/Enterprise/Williams in 1974 and continued in their service until his retirement in 2011. James enjoyed the outdoors and would often take his boys fishing. He was an avid sports fan, enjoying many different arrays of sports. He spent many hours coaching baseball and umpiring for the Marquette youth programs.   Above all, James was a loving father, grandfather, and husband. He will be greatly missed. James is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Larry Rose, and nephew, Brendon Sneath.

James is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Rose of Argyle, Texas; sons, Jason Rose of Argyle, Texas and Cameron Rose and wife Barbara of Owasso, Oklahoma; brother, Mike Rose of Ada, Oklahoma; sisters, Connie Andrews of Washington, Oklahoma and Susie Jeeter of Columbia, Tennessee ; grandchildren, Ethan Rose, Landon Rose, Parker Rose, and Nathaniel Rose; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
