James Ronnie Neighbors

Graveside services with Military Honors for James Ronnie Neighbors age 68 of Trenton, Texas will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas, TX. Officiating will be Oran Rhoades of Trenton Church of Christ. Jim passed away on August 8, 2017. He was born in Sacramento, California on December 5, 1948 to James Raymond Neighbors and Georgia May Choate Neighbors.

Jim graduated from Placer High School in Auburn, California in 1967. He served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1976 and served in Vietnam where he received the Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart and numerous other awards. Jim was married to Margaret Ann Smith Neighbors in 1978. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and later as an inspector for military contractors at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. He enjoyed working on vehicles and circle track racing with his son and daughter-in-law and friends.
Jim is preceded in death by his father and mother. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Margaret; son James Kyle Neighbors, daughter-in-law Krystal Neighbors, and granddaughter Alexis, all of Trenton, and many other family and friends.
