James Edward Morris

Memorial services for James Edward Morris Jr., age 68, of Bonham, will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the First Christian Church in Bonham, Texas.  Rev. Rick Edwards will officiate.  James passed away at his residence on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

James was born in Odessa, Texas on April 15, 1953, the son of James Edward Morris Sr. and Alice Mae Rogers Morris.  He was a 1971 graduate of Windom High School where he enjoyed playing basketball and was affectionately nicknamed "Crusher" by his teammates.  He married Jo Ann Millhollon on June 16, 1977 in Bonham, Texas.  James was a United States Navy Veteran and enjoyed hunting, gardening, camping, baseball, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde and Mae Morris of Windom, TX and his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Morris of Bonham, sons, Jeremy Morris and wife, Chandler Johnston of Bonham and Christopher Millhollon  and wife, Veronica of Sherman, TX;  sisters, Ginger Morris of Denison, TX, Priscilla Lane Morris of Allen, TX, and Nancy Morris and husband Rick Daugherty of Plano, TX;  grandchildren, Christian Millhollon, Ashlyn Morris, Kammie Morris, Aiden Morris, Wade Morris and great grandchildren, Riley Albrecht, Evelyn Morris-Davenport and numerous extended family from all over Texas and a host of friends.
