Nate traveled the world with the Navy which included an assignment aboard a Coast Guard Cutter that took him north of the Artic Circle, placing him in what the Navy calls the "Blue Nose Club". It was while stationed in San Diego that he discovered his true love - aviation. Nate earned his pilot license in the Navy and upon discharge quickly became a flight instructor back home in Texas. Nate was hired by American Airlines as a First Officer aboard their Embraer 175 fleet. By 2019 he earned the rank of Captain. Flying was his passion and as a pilot, Nate was able to travel throughout North America. Nate loved his dogs and valued the relationships with his friends and family above all else. He loved his country and was proud of his family legacy. Nate's heart was as big as Texas and he always had a soft spot for the underdog. Nate was loved by all that knew him.
