Graveside services for James Douglas Kirkpatrick, 65, of Bonham, will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, January 23, 2015 in Arledge Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Chaplain Mark Posey will officiate. James passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Plano.
James was born March 8, 1949 in Grapevine, Texas, to Carl and Lola Kirkpatrick. He was a graduate of Bonham High School and retired from the Proctor & Gamble Co., formerly Folgers, Inc. James had a passion for cars, especially old cars, with his beloved '55 Chevy being his favorite. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Henry and Lola Mae Standifer Kirkpatrick and beloved grandmother, Delcie Standifer.
James is survived by two daughters, Carla Kirkpatrick of Pottsboro, Texas and Kristy Kirkpatrick of Denison, Texas, one son, Lindsey Kirkpatrick of Durant, Oklahoma, and five grandchildren, Alyson, Madeleine, Christian, Bonnie and Sabrina, along with a very dear aunt and uncle, Lulla and Pete Hill of Royal, Arkansas, and many cousins and special friends.
