Funeral Services for James Herbert Holt, 86, of Whitewright will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday August 15, 2015 at the Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Kelly Montgomery will officiate. Burial will follow at Gum Springs Cemetery in the Carson Community. James passed away on August 12, 2015 at Carrus Specialty Hospital.
James was born on September 17, 1928, the son of Tim Holt and Vi Roscoe. James served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He later married Debbie Lee Clark on April 15, 1979 in Bonham, Texas. James was a member of the Melissa Church of God. He loved spending time with his grandchildren; frequently riding bikes with them. James liked the outdoors; often repairing cars. James is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mark Casey; brothers, Eugene, David, Leon, and Earl Holt; sisters, Inez Ishmael, Roselee Taylor, and Marie Holt and Brother-In-Law, Bill Wideman.
James is survived by his wife, Debbie Holt of Whitewright; Sons, Carl Casey of Trenton and John Clark (Jennifer) of Brock; Daughters, Sabrina Phillips of Sachse and Kasce Richter (Randy) of Whitewright; Sister, Cecil Wideman of Mineola; 18 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jose Perez, Junior Perez, Dylan Carrigan, Austin Richter, and Corey Richter.
The family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday night, August 14, 2015.
