Funeral Services for James Ray Crabtree, age 76, of Bonham will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. James passed away Wednesday morning, December 14, 2016 at Texoma Medical Center in Bonham, Texas.
James was born on June 13, 1940 in Bugtussel, Texas, the son Joe Crabtree and Tennessee Belle Wilson Crabtree. He served 3 years in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. James was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. James adored his dog, Teka. He is preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters, Virginia Hillard, Juanita Sharp, and Mary Joyce Pinkston.
James is survived by his sons, Keith Ray Crabtree and Chris Crabtree both of Bonham, Texas; many nieces and nephews, including Sheila Nichols of Bonham, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Williams, Michael Foreman, Chris Crabtree, Jody Nichols, and Casie Partridge.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016 one hour prior to service time.
