James Ray Bridges

James Ray Bridges was born Jan. 14, 1938 in Dodd City, Texas, son of Oscar Ray Bridges and Mildred Olita Fortenberry Bridges. James passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2016 while visiting with his oldest grandson, Terry.
James is survived by his wife, Diann Coonrod Bridges; two sons, Duaine Bridges and Terry Bridges and wife, Amber; granddaughters, Brandi Powers, Amanda Pendergrass and husband, Bryan and Laine Bridges; grandsons, Terry Bridges and wife, Kristin and Lake Bridges; great granddaughters, Aubri, Baylee, Kinzie and McKenna.
James was of the Baptist faith and attended Boyd Baptist Church for many years. He served in the U. S. Army for two years. James worked at DeRose Industries and Southwest Pump Co where he retired in 1999 when the plant closed.
A memorial gathering will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Boyd Baptist Church, Bonham, Texas.
Memorials may be made to medical science.
