Graveside funeral services for Jackie Elaine Bragg Dallal, 57, of Bonham, will be held at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Rev. Charles Glass of Faith Church in Sherman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery in Edhube. Jackie peacefully passed away Sunday, May 6, at home in Bonham.
Jackie was born January 24, 1955 in Fannin County, Texas, the daughter of Weldon Bragg and Mozelle Parker Bragg. She was a 1973 graduate of Bonham High School and attended both Paris Junior College and Grayson County Community College.
Jackie had many adventures in her 57 years. She started out her life on Lynn Street in Bonham, lived in Amman, Jordan and Houston, Texas and completed the cycle by returning to her family home on Lynn St. She was a born nurturer who rescued abandoned animals and gave them much love within her home and found comfort in returning to Bonham to serve as a care giver for her mother.
Jackie is survived by
her children Leila Dallal of Austin, Chuck and Kathryn Dallal of El Paso, and Sori Fierce of Bonham, her parents Weldon Bragg and Mozelle Parker Bragg,
her grandchildren Naomi, Derek,
Ruth, and Logan Dallal, her sister Julie Abston and husband Patrick of Palestine, Texas,
her brothers Tom Bragg and wife Tammy of Sherman, Texas,and John Bragg and wife Veronica of Chapel Hill, Texas,her step-mother DuAnne Bragg and her step-brother Auge Smith and his wife Christina and numerous nieces and nephews, her beloved dog Ralphy and seven cats.
The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday night. Donations in lieu of flowers are appreciated for Grayson County Home Hospice. She was proud to have learned Arabic during her time in Jordan. The family leaves you with "ma salama habibti", (goodbye sweetheart).
