Funeral services for John Clarence "J.C." Perry, 90, of Bonham, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bonham, under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Stewart Courtney will officiate. Burial will follow in Gates Hill Cemetery. J. C. passed away early Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at The Homestead of Sherman.

J. C. was born March 20, 1923 in Bonham, Texas, the son of Ella Perry and Sammie Hayes Perry. He was a graduate of Bonham schools. J. C. was a US Army veteran of WWII and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a funeral home assistant at Everett Funeral Home for a number of years and a carpenter. He enjoyed helping families in their time of need. J. C. was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jimmie Lee Smith Perry (2001), and three daughters, Shirley, Edna and Joyce.

He is survived by three s ons, Stanley Higgs and wife, Carla of Sherman, Texas, Steve Higgs and wife, Debra of Arlington, Texas and Van Smith of Bonham, Texas;

a sister, Nettie Mae Smith of Bonham, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, extended family and a host of friends.
