J. L. Bursby

Graveside services for J.L. Bursby, age 73, of Bells, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Dodd City Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home in Bonham. J.L. passed away early Sunday, February 24, 2013 Texoma Medical Center in Denison.

J. L. was born on September 19, 1939 in Telephone, Texas, the son of John L. Bursby and Pearl Hindsley. He married Laura Lamson in 1970 in Dallas, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Thomas Bursby, brother, V.T. Bursby, sisters, Merle Robinson, Joyce Wilson and Louise Ivey.

J. L. was in the United States Marines, of the Baptist faith and loved fishing.

J.L. is survived by:

Sons: Richard Bursby and wife, Tina of Sulphur Springs
Asa Bursby of Fort Worth
Jerrall Richardson of Burkburnett
Daughters: Lequetta Davis and husband, Douglas of Cleburne
Billie Pugh and husband, David of Burleson
Melissa Montgomery of Denison
Tanya Hileman and husband, Jeff of Watauga
Sisters: Shirley Raso and Jimmie Strickland of Fort Worth
Numerous grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home in Bonham from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 26, 2013.
