Ira Wayne Andrews

Ira Wayne Andrews, 84, of Bonham, TX passed away on April 15, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his wife, son and granddaughter.

Ira was born on August 21, 1939 at home in Moran. TX. He was raised by his beloved aunt, Nellie Denise. Aunt Nellie encouraged him to join the United States Navy. At the tender age of 17 Ira proudly joined. Little did he realize that the time spent serving would always be his fondest and proudest moments. Ira was the kind of man that could fix anything. He passed his love of cars on to his son David, and together they enjoyed working on fixing them. Ira was a friend to all and will be remembered for his love of family, watching westerns, and the Navy.

He is preceded in death by, first wife, Mary Andrews, aunt, Nellie Denise, sister, Clara Riggs and son, Mike Andrews.

Those left to cherish his memory, wife, Carol Thiebaud, son, David Andrews, granddaughters, Ashley Stone and Heather Andrews.

The funeral is Thursday, April 18th, at Wise Valley Chapel with visitation starting 1hr prior to service. Burial will be the following day, Friday, April 19th at Restland Cemetery, Dallas, TX at 11:00am.
