Herman Cole Corley, longtime resident of Bonham Texas, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 25, 2016.
Herman Corley was born August 5, 1936 in Garland Texas to Albert Lee and Helen Marie Merriman Corley. He graduated Richardson High School in 1954. After High School, Herman worked for Garland Heating and Air Conditioning. He then was employed by Texas Instruments, where he retired after 31 years of service. After retirement, Herman became a Master Plumber and continued working until his later years.
Herman was a devout Christian man, belonging to the First Christian Church throughout his life. He faithfully served in many capacities in the Christian Church, volunteering his services whenever needed. Herman also was a Master Mason of the 32nd degree.
Herman Corley is survived by his daughters Karen Corley of Bonham, Donna Kay Eskue and husband David of Bonham and Karla Farris and husband Terry of Ivanhoe; step sons Roger Nichols and wife Joy and D.D. Nichols and wife Tina; brother Wallace Corley and wife June of Celeste; sister Nancy Richards and husband George of Pittsburg, Texas; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gerri.
Pallbearers with be David Eskue, Terry Farris, Josh Morris, Jeremy Capehart, Danny Merriman and David Merriman.
Visitation will be held on Monday evening, November 28th, from 6-8 pm at Wise Funeral home, with Funeral services to be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2016 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel.
