Hazel Pauline Hayes

Funeral services for Hazel Pauline Hayes, age 94, of Bonham will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012 at Boyd Baptist Church in Bonham under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. W.C. "Bill" Beasley and Rev. Lyn Holly will officiate. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Hazel passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at her residence in Bonham.

Hazel was born December 3, 1917 in Bonham, Texas, daughter of Sam Wiley Hayes and Bessie Florence Kerr Hayes. She was a graduate of Ravenna High School. She was employed with J. B. Whites Department Store and Hunts Department Store and was the bookkeeper for Reece Electric for many years. She was a longtime member of Boyd Baptist Church where she taught teen girls Sunday School classes, and was later a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James Robert Hayes, a sister, Billie Hallman, and friend, Ray Vincent.

Hazel is survived by ~
Sister, Doris Louise Hasten of Bonham, TX, Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Craig Hasten, Jody Hallman, James Schrade, Guy Smith, Roger Neill and Kelvin Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Kerr, Mack Hayes, Jerry Bob Hayes, Clyde Kerr and Dub Morrison.
